All times are approximate depending on stops, but we will attempt to keep this schedule, even if some stops need to be cut short.

9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Leg 1: Acadia National Park
Meet in the main Acadia National Park Visitors' Center Parking Lot off Rt.3 at 9AM, and drive parade style on the Park Loop Road with stops at Sand Beach, Thunder Hole, Otter Cliffs, Cadillac Mt., and Jordan Pond. $10 Park Pass per vehicle required. This pass is good for one week so if you're there earlier and have bought one it's still good. Much of the money stays at Acadia for road maintenance. We will also visit Asticou Gardens in NE Harbor on this leg. Tourist sights ---a must for all.

11:00 a.m. – Noon Drive to lunch spot in Bernard, ME

Noon – 1:00 p.m. Lunch at Thurston's Lobster Pound in Bernard, ME
Eat lunch on the wharf overlooking a real working harbor. Seafood as fresh as you will get anywhere. Other items available too. Located on the shore of beautiful Bass Harbor, you can relax and enjoy a great meal while watching fishing boats unloading the days catch.

Directions to Thurston's for folks wanting to skip the Acadia Tour.
From the Acadia National Park Visitors Center: Turn left onto Rt3 (Eden St) and drive approximately 5 miles where you turn left onto Knox Rd. Knox road ends within 2 miles. On the end of Knox, turn left onto Rt 102. Continue on RT 102 and heads towards Southwest Harbor at the fork in the road (a left). Pass thru the town of Southwest Harbor and then to the town of Tremont (you’re still on Rt 102). Start looking for Bernard Rd on your left at this time. Bernard Road changes into Steamboat Wharf Rd after 0.5 miles. Got lost? Thurston's number is 207-244-7600.

Saturday 6/19

3:30 a.m. Wakeup call by Windshadow
How he got this job I don’t remember, but our own MINI traveler is returning from his odyssey to officially open what will be the longest day of the year for us....Or at least the one with the most hours awake.

4:00 a.m. Leave Wonderview for drive up Cadillac Mt.
Open one hour before sunrise the road to the summit is only a ten minute drive. There is no charge for going up. We will be there as twilight begins for official sunrise at 4:45am according to the park rangers. Folks not staying at the Wonderview might want to avoid the confusion of 50 people stumbling into their MINIs and meet us at the entrance to the summit road about 4:05. You get there by taking the main entrance road to the park off Rt. 3 and follow the signs to Cadillac Mt. If it gets to be 4:25, you have missed us and scoot up quick. (But not too quick!)

5:00 a.m. Departure for Newport, ME
Drive through to pick up your favorite (?) fast food breakfast, get gas, and make that long awaited pit stop here. We will arrive around 6:30am and need to make it as quick as possible. Leave with a group for either interstate or scenic route to Loon.

11:00 a.m. Arrival Loon Mt., Lincoln, NH
125+ MINIs together is not to be missed if only for a moment. ONE QUARTER MILE OF MINIS will be a sight to see!!! We are going to try to get everyone there and not sacrifice safety.
