Sorry - The Observatory Tour is full.

What is it like to live and work "On Top"? What conditions do the meteorologists who are On Top of Mount Washington experience?

Here is your chance to meet the Observers and tour the Observatory Museum On Top of Mount Washington.

Two groups of 15 people will spend about 15 minutes touring the Observatory (including climbing the Tower, making you the highest person east of the Mississippi) and another 15 minutes touring the fascinating weather museum.

The Observatory tour group will drive their MINIs to the summit approximately one hour before the main MOT group.

MOT 2004 Observatory Tour participants experienced 85+ MPH winds while on the tower!

The cost is $3 per person (not per car) discounted 40% from the normal $5 fee for MOT participants. This fee goes directly to the Mt. Washington Observatory.

Additionally, Observatory tour organizer Pete Basiliere (NHRef) is personally donating $200 to the Observatory to offset any MOT participant's new Observatory membership if taken out within 10 days of MOT. The amount will be allocated evenly to all new family and single Observatory memberships only.

Meteorologically inclined?

Send an email to Pete Basiliere at NHRef@minisontop.com with the name(s) of everyone in your MINI. First come, first served.

Payment will be collected at the Loon gathering place. Look for the weather balloon!
